The all-inclusive Allegro Playacar entices guests with 286 recently renovated tropical themed rooms situated in Polynesian-style bungalows with a balcony or terrace.
Superior Premium rooms are located closest to the beach and swimming pools and feature individually controlled air conditioning, mini-fridge, ceiling fan, satellite TV, full, iron and ironing board, coffee pot and safety deposit box. Cribs are also available upon request.

Occidental Allegro Playacar Dining
At the Allegro Playacar, an all-inclusive stay includes unlimited meals, snacks and beverages at any one of three restaurants, the Pizzeria, the grill, four bars and a snack bar on site - all included in the price of your stay.
 Newly renovated in 2006, The Buffet is the property's main restaurant featuring buffet-style dining and a great selection of international cuisine with different themed nights. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Mexican features authentic a la carte Mexican fare in a festive environment. Imagine a warm Caribbean evening, authentic Mexican fare and cold "cervezas" - can life get any better?
The Italian restaurant offers exquisite a la carte Italian dishes in a stylish atmosphere. Dining experiences are enhanced by a selection of fine vintages from the Italian wine menu.
Reservations are required for both The Mexican and The Italian restaurants.
For more casual cuisine at lunch time, The Pizzeria is situated poolside serving delicious pizza and assorted sandwiches. The poolside beach buffet offers a variety of snack selections and light and healthy lunch options as well as the very famous grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, chicken and fish cooked to perfection.
Upon special request at check-in, guests may choose a luxuriant culinary experience with the resort's Paradise Lobster dinner. Available for an additional fee, the dinner features an outstanding and grilled-to-perfection lobster dinner, a truly memorable and romantic vacation souvenir. Occidental Allegro Playacar Activities
Guests staying at the all-inclusive Allegro Playacar can find everything they need for a dream vacation without ever leaving the resort. In addition to the property's pristine sandy beaches, the Allegro Playacar features three pools: one for relaxing, one for activities and one just for kids.
 Also included in the all-inclusive plan are endless sports and activities, such as volleyball, ping pong, darts, billiards, tennis, basketball, SCUBA classes, kayaking, snorkeling, boogie boarding, sailing and windsurfing. Daily entertainment and activities programs for children and adults are also part of the package. Guests also will enjoy a different and spectacular show every night such as "Boogie Dreams," taking you back to the 70's and 80's, or "Ingenious" the magic of Irish dancing and circus, performed by the resort's dancers. Children will have a blast at the Mini Disco with piñatas, games and dancing everyday.

Dive
From Mayan Ruins landside to underwater cenotes (caverns) beneath, the Riviera Maya boasts countless dive sites from wall, to drift diving, and the largest interconnected cenote system of 300+ miles of passageways. The breathtaking cenotes are adorned with stalactites and stalagmites in various colors, and marine fossils. Of the famed cenotes, divers may schedule private excursions to Chac-Mol, Taj Mahal, Dos Ojos, Calavera, Car Wash, and Angelita. Also, the sunken wreck Mama Viña displays teems of barracuda and stingray. Deep and shallow dives climbs of Cerebros are inhabited with lobster, squid, and other species; The Arches features rays, and turtles. Expert divers venture 87 feet through Pared Verde. The Gardens is yet another favorite with shallows to 38 feet with a bouquet of coral, sponge, and tubes. And Turtugas in Playa del Carmen is where sea turtles echo in song to fend off predators.
