We were at El Dorado Seaside Suites about 5 years ago, and just returned from our second trip. The renovations they did are amazing; the rooms are gorgeous! The furniture in the common areas/near the main stage and netted beds on the beach give the whole resort a romantic feel (it looks exactly like it does in the photos). The El Dorado Seaside Suites consists of 280 Junior Suites distributed in two and three story buildings. Unlike most other resorts in the area, our resort runs parallel to the beach, affording each room easy access to the beach, which is literally just a few steps away. All of the Junior Suites are decorated in a blend of contemporary and authentic Mexican style, and come with marble or Mexican title floors. The furniture is made of local wood which gives a friendly and visually appealing atmosphere to the accommodations.

El Dorado Seaside Suites Restaurants - Pleasing the Palate
 A variety of options awaits at El Dorado Seaside Suites. None, however includes buffet lines. All restaurants serve a’ la Carte only.
Klay Talay Restaurant
Klay Talay is Thai and means “by the seaside.” Quite fitting for a sea view Asian restaurant. It blends a variety of Asian styles into a fine fusion of Oriental cuisine. It is open for dinner between 5:30 PM and 10 PM. Reservations are required.
Arrecifes Restaurant
Arrecifes serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks throughout the day. It has a daily changing chef’s menu. Continental breakfast is served from 06:00 AM to 07:00 AM and 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A’ la Carte breakfast is served from 07:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A’ la Carte lunch and specialty dinner are served from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM and from 05:30 PM to 10:30 PM, respectively.
La Carreta Restaurant
 La Carreta prepares authentic Mexican fare. From traditional Mexican favorites such as Tacos, Enchiladas and Steak Arrachera to more exotic dishes such as Huitlacoche and Nopales, La Carreta is always a great choice for dinner. Reservations are required, but the restaurant has a beautiful new bar – La Cantina- with a selection of International brands and exceptional Margaritas. Due to popular demand, reservations are required. But there are several seating times between 5:30 PM and 10 PM.
The bars include The Snack Bar, serving snacks at different times of day and night.
Las Guacamayas is our famous bar with swings. Located next to Los Arrecifes, it is the perfect place to hang out with friends after a long day of exhausting beach activities. It opens from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM.
The Arrecifes swim-up bar is a lively pool bar, great for enjoying all kinds of drinks while staying cool in the pool. It opens from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Los Cotorros is another bar with swings. It opens from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
 La Cantina is our signature Tequila bar with a wide selection of Tequilas and other premium drinks. It is located inside the La Carreta restaurant and is open from 05:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
In the afternoon, between 4:00 and 6:00 PM we also have Tea Time an afternoon tea, coffee and pastries service at the Guacamayas Bar.
The Guacamayas Lounge is a contemporary seaside lounge with a great atmosphere and cool music, offering soothing views of the sea. You may sit or recline in one of the lounge cabanas and drift off under the stars and the coconut trees. Enjoy it between the cool hours of 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.

We have visited other resorts in the area and I have to say that El Dorado Seaside Suites has very clean grounds with beautiful, lush landscaping. The watersports equipment was in good condition. El Dorado Seaside Suites has a large reef that you can snorkel in. Lots of docks. The beach was clean, no seaweed on the resort grounds.
The food is great for an all-inclusive. Everything tasted very fresh. The new Asian restaurant had wonderful ambiance. They served sushi and spicy stir-frys. It was a good mix of Chinese, Japanese and Thai foods. The Mexican restaurant had great food and fabulous desserts. Ask for the Mayan Coffee!! There is also 24-hour room service that would get to your room within 30 minutes. The bars now have "brand" liquors instead of generic stuff.
Of course, the staff at El Dorado Seaside Suites is working hard to ensure that your stay is worry-free! They are so helpful, gracious and inject humor into your daily activities. Everyone says "Hola" as they pass you by. The staff definitely will go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel like you are the most important guest.
There was always plenty of space around the pools and at the beach so you could always find a quiet spot to yourself. The pools were never crowded and you could always get a lounge chair no matter what time of day it was.
El Dorado Seaside Suites is a great resort. Our vacation was wonderful, relaxing, rejuvenating, and romantic. Would highly recommend it and would definitely visit again. Some people say that you get bored at one resort for a week, but I don't agree. How can you be bored when you walk out of your suite and see the beach and feel the sun? Especially when you know there's another snowstorm back home!
